I understand there was a local meeting to discuss the proposed Walmart, and I was curious if meeting minutes
or a summary of the meeting would be posted somewhere. Has that meeting impacted the progress of the plans?

Also.. could you provide an update to the status of the proposed Walmart, and whether or not the plans have been
firmed up. And any dates that have been proposed for plans.

thanks

Mark,

The meeting was organized by Wal-Mart and Grayhawk representatives. A city staff person was present to answer any questions that may have arisen. As the meeting was not held or organized by the City we did not take minutes or prepare a meeting summary. In talking with the staff member who was present, it was his opinion that the two groups are getting very close to working out all of the issues in regards to building materials and facade drawings.

The site has received preliminary site plan approval from the Planning & Zoning Commission and the applicant is preparing drawings and plans to submit for final site plan approval. Staff expects this submittal in the very near future. Once final approval has been given the applicant will be able to obtain a building permit and begin construction.
