Are there any plans to build a Water Works or Hawaiian Falls type water park in Frisco?

Thanks for the question and I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. I am not aware of any current plans for a private water park that might locate in Frisco. This is probably a more appropriate question for the Planning Department. I will forward them your question and see if they can update this message.
I will say that the new Recreation and Aquatic Center that will be built over the next 14-16 months will have several leisure water features within it. This would include elements such as water slides, aquatic playgrounds, lazy river, zero depth entry points, etc.
We are currently in the final planning stages for the design elements for the indoor and outdoor aquatic elements for this facility and hope to have this finalized over the next month or so. Once finalized, we will post the design concept on the Parks and Recreation Department web site.
Please feel free to contact me at any time for an update on this project. I will list my contact information below.
Thanks again for your message and I look forward to hearing from you in the future.

At the present no one has come forward with a proposal or plans for the type of water park you mention. City ordinances do allow for this type of business to come to Frisco. Typically, this type of park needs a certain level of population or potential customers to look at any given area. The availability of similar businesses in the area can influence a decision as to where to locate. Thank you for your interest.
