In the Frisco Commons Park, what is the schedule for mowing the grass (or at least the paths that have been previously mowed) in the area north of the woods at the end of Kent and Cori lanes? Those of us that use the 'Cori Lane Entrance' only have the paths to use to access the park from that area and it's beginning to get pretty deep.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. When the park opened last year, the paths in the undeveloped area of the park were mowed on an as needed basis. We have had some maintenance crew changes this year and this is evidently an oversight by the new crew. We will get these areas mowed this week and put them on a regular schedule. Please contact me if you have any additional concerns or questions.

Sincerely,

The paths I was speaking of were some paths mowed in the grass from Cori Lane and Kent Drive to the concrete paths on the north side of the woods at the park. This area has been mowed twice now and the part mowed is only about half or less than what was mowed all summer last year. And the paths that were mowed through the grass are now at least knee high. Are there any plans to remow these paths?

Steve,
The mowing crew has been maintaining the perimeter area along the alley that connects Cori and Kent, and a path from Kent to the north trail. I will have the crew cut an additional path from Cori directly to the trail. I will also have them increase the frequency of their mowing in this area to weekly. You have probably noticed that the wildflowers in the north area of the park are in full bloom. To maximize the viewing in this area, I will also get them to mow a path along the north perimeter. We will mow the entire north area later this summer when the wildflowers have stopped blooming.

Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any additional park related questions or concerns.

Sincerely,
Bob Johnson
