I was wondering why there is a stop sign at El Dorado and N County Rd... near warren sports complex??
Since the road isn't complete ...can the city change this? maybe to a yeild sign???

Ms. Vallone, Thank you for your question. Eldorado Parkway will be extended westward from N. County with a railroad overpass bridge in the upcoming months. When the current configuration of the roadway was done, a stop sign was placed at the intersection based on the design of the intersection and traffic volume anticipated. The intersection once Eldorado is extended to the west in a few months will probably become a multiway stop sign or a traffic signal.
A yield sign is not appropriate at this intersection based on the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices. Yield signs are typically installed at ramps and other one-way traffic locations. Since the intersection is bi-directional both of Eldorado and N County, it would not have been the appropriate sign to install there.
I hope this answers your questions. If you have further questions regarding traffic related issues please contact Kim Dalton at 972.335.5580 x101 or if you have questions on the extension of Eldorado please contact Frank Jaromin at extension 156. Thanks for your patience with the intersection. Once the intersection is totally completed, I think you will be satisfied with the results.
