at the 720 median just west of Teal? I noticed that Frisco workers have been burying cable or wire. Is this part of the median improvement? If so, are they planning on planting trees or just flowers?

The items you are referencing are associated with the irrigation that has been installed recently. This irrigation will be used to water trees that will be installed in the next several weeks, depending on weather, and turf that will be established in these sections of medians.

If you have any additional questions please feel free to contact me.

Is there any status update on getting the medians improved on Rolator between Sanoma Valley and Hillcrest? I have lived on the corner of Rolator and Stone Hearth for over 4 years and have been told several times that improvements were on the way but have yet to see anything. It would especially be nice to get some trees to cut down on the road noise created by the people driving 50 mph in a newly created 40 mph zone.

City crews staked out tree locations for the Hillrest median tree plantings. A few trees were planted with many staked locations left alone.

Is the city finished with the southern portion of Hillcrest or will there be more?

In the FY03 budget there was a specific amount of funds identified for median improvements. Rolater Drive from Preston Road to Hillcrest Road, is 3rd on the list of medians to be improved in 2003. Staff is anticipating that some medians will be improved on Rolater Drive with the monies available. At this time staff is not able to identify the full extent of improvements on Rolater Drive. The improvements should happen by summer. There are several medians ahead of Rolater that are to be completed, once these are completed staff will have a full understanding of how much money will be available for medians on Rolater Drive.

The trees that you have seen planted on Hillcrest are trees that were relocated from a construction site. There will be additional trees planted in the remainder of the staked locations. Crews have started this installation in the medians near Lowe's and will move to Hillcrest once finished there. It is likely that they will start on Hillcrest by the end of the week if the nursery can provide good stock. If we have to wait for another shipment it may be awhile longer but it should happen in the very near future.

Can you post where Lebanon Rd. is in the priority of median improvements? All sections, from Coit to the Tollway are badly needed.

It is third in the new medians that will be improved this year. It is anticipated that the section from Preston east to the creek at the Plantation Golf Course will be improved with irrigation, trees, and turf.

Thank you
