There are a number of dead trees in Mourning Dove Park that need to be replaced. When will the city begin replacing trees as the fall planting season is now upon us and the weather has cooled off?

Spyder,

The majority of trees that we purchase are balled in burlap as opposed to container grown trees. We try to buy B&B trees that are dug after the first hard frost. That normally means we won’t replace trees until late November or early December. Due to the warm fall and winter last year, we delayed our first planting until December 12.

Please feel free to contact me directly if you would like to discuss further or if you ever have additional park related questions or concerns.
