Is the current (2010) building code for electrical outlets not more than 6ft on an unbroken wall (12 feet max wrapping around wall at corners)?

Also, in a laundry room, should there be at least one outlet? There is a single outlet for a dryer and a single (one not dual) outlet for the washer. Does this meet building code?

Receptacles shall be installed so that no point measured horizontally along the floor line in any wall space is more than 6 feet, from a receptacle outlet.

The only required outlets for laundry rooms are for the appliance laundry equipment.
