Rumor has it that the city is planning to make Lebanon over here by 4th army a major thouroughfare or highway of sorts. Is this right ? What is the plan for Lebanon that runs beside Lone Star Ranch ?

The ultimate roadway section for Lebanon Road is 6 lanes. Lebanon Road has always been shown on the Thoroughfare Map as a ultimate 6 lane thoroughfare. Currently this section of Lebanon Road is under design to provide 4 lanes continuous from the Dallas North Toll Road to FM 423. Staff is reviewing options to design and build the ultimate 6 lanes.

With the opening of Teel Road, it has already become increasingly difficult to turn left from our neighborhood off West Lebanon. Are there plans for traffic lights at neighbor intersections as part of the 6 lane widening project?

The design for a traffic signal installation at the intersection of Teel Parkway and Lebanon Road has been completed. We are currently in the process of placing the construction out for bid and expect to have a contract to City Council for their approval in April. Given that schedule of approval, the construction should take three months. Full traffic signal operation would then be expected mid to late summer. No other “neighboring” intersections are currently in design at this time.
