Can we put plastic #6 in the recycle containers?

Number 6 Plastics are not acceptable. We can take Numbers 1 thru 5 and 7. Don't forget the aluminum cans, glass - colored and white, newspapers magazines, junk mail, dry food boxes and cardboard too!

Will it ever be? I see large cities around the country starting to accept them. Is this our recycler rules? thank

Community Waste Disposal (CWD) the city's recycling and trash service provider,has one of the most extensive lists of acceptable reyclcable items in this area. I believe the reason they do no collect #6 plastics is because there is no cost effective means to recycle it locally. I will be happy to look into this further and if it is something that we can collect and process will add it to the blue cart. Thanks for helping us to keep our city "green and clean".
