Is the city taking any necessary steps to avoid the holiday season theft. We came to notice some unknown vehicles parked inside our community and and people sitting inside and watching surroundings. We feel kind of scared.

We are taking extra steps in patrolling our neighborhoods and retail districts throughout the holidays. As always, we encourage citizens to contact the police department about any suspicious activity or vehicles they observe. Please feel free to contact the police departmentís non-emergency line at 972-292-6010 to make a report. Do not hesitate to dial 911 if it is an emergency.

We were very disappointed when we went to see the lights at Frisco square. The few buildings that were involved were nice, but why aren't all the businesses involved in this effort? Every building in the square should be lit as well! If the city cant afford to do more, Perhaps an incentive could be offered to entice more people to get excited about the celebration of Christmas. Please consider a committee to work on improving the merchant participation

Thank you for the suggestion. We can certainly approach the other businesses in the area to see if they would like to join in the contract. As you might expect, it is not a small expense. We will work on it.
