I've had many frustrations the past two years getting quality cable service in the area, specifically my neighborhood (Country Club Ridge) and street (Mirage ln). I would love to get FIOS or UVERSE but they are either not available in CCR or on my street in case of Uverse.

Can someone tell me when or if they will be available in the near future?

These are private utilities regulated at the state level by the Public Utility Commission. The City does not control where these companies decide to provide service. Contacting Verizon or AT&T about services will be the quickest way to get an answer.

My hometown (Lafayette, LA) has city-owned and run fiber optic internet and cable. Why doesn't Frisco consider doing something like this, with choices as spotty as they are in this area?

This is a private business and the city has no desire to compete for these services.
