Recently I have been seeing these "Children Playing Signs" in my neighborhood that have a plastic child with a red flag urging caution/slow down. I have seen some parents placing these signs anywhere from on the sidewalk to pretty much the middle of the street. I have no problem with them being on the sidewalk or right next to the curb but believe that it is a safety hazzard for traffic by placing them in the street and would like to know what is law regarding this situation.

If they are placed in a manner that is impeding traffic, please call our non-emergency number, 972.292.6010. I have observed the signs at the curbs edge and don't see a problem with giving motorists reminders to slow down in neighborhoods. If they are creating an obstacle, that would not achieve that goal.
