Driving into Frisco on Eldorado from Little Elm and entering on Preston from Plano, notice old population signs that are very dated (believe 75 - 90,000 residents stated). How often are these signs updated and when are new signs due? Thanks.

Most population signs are posted on state highways and therefore are under the control of TxDOT. We are not sure what timeframe and/or what criteria TxDOT uses in keeping the signs updated. However, with this being a census year, we do plan to request that TxDOT update all of the population signs in 2011 once the official population number is released.
