I live in the Trails of West Frisco. There is a gentleman that routinely rides his go cart along the running/bike trails within the community. He sometimes goes quite fast and other times has his two sons hanging on and not buckled in. Isn't it illegal to ride motorized vehicles such as go carts on bike trails and sidewalks within the city of Frisco? He said that a police officer told him that it was okay as long as he wasn't driving it on the street. I don't think this is correct. Either he is mistaken or I am. Can someone please clarify for me?

Thanks

It is illegal to operate them on a sidewalk or hiking trail. Call Police Communications at 972.292.6010 to report the violation when you see it. I will ask officers to keep an eye on the area as well.
