Our HOA South entrance has been named Bordeaux for at least the last 5 years (ever since I moved into the subdivision).
I just happened to take the entrance today & noticed that for some reason, it has been re-named to match the subdivision across the street. It is now called Montezuma way.

I didn't know the city could just change the name of a street, and why not use the name already established, why change ours instead of them using the correct name when the subdivision was built? Also, why not notify the HOA & keep everyone in the loop??? It is important to know when giving directions that the name of the turn in street has been changed.

In order to provide appropriate emergency response the decision was made to change the street name as the two sections of Bordeaux will not connect. Having only one section of Bordeaux will limit any potential conflict at the time of response. As this section of Bordeaux does not have any streets addressed off of it, changing the name of this section would have minimal impact upon residents. Notices and response forms were mailed to the four property owners that lie adjacent to or across from Bordeaux. Of the four notices sent, no responses or comments were given to the City. Once a street name has been approved, staff sends copies of the name change ordinances to the Post Office, mapping companies, etc. to keep everyone informed. The City’s emergency response system is also updated.
