In August of last year (2013), the City of Frisco announced: "The City’s Parks and Recreation Department received the grant from the Texas Department of Transportation. It will extend the current 1.2-mile Taychas Trail by about ¼ mile, connecting it to a path that Plano is planning to build. Taychas runs between the Turnbridge Manor and Hunters Creek developments, near Custer Road and State Highway 121."

Can someone kindly provide an update on this project?

The City is in the process of finalizing the plans for the construction and negotiating for an easement to build the trail. TxDOT is drafting the agreement, but due to limited manpower they are behind schedule. The project continues to move forward. I believe Plano has hired a consultant to design their portion of the trail. Allen will be constructing their portion, as the property develops along Custer Road in their city.
