For the last couple of months I have been hearing rumors the Frisco was experiencing a population explosion of Rats. I didn't pay any attention to these rumors untill last Sunday when I pulled into the parking lot of Wendy's at Preston and Gaylord. There lay a huge dead Rat, not a mouse but a Rat, in the parking lot. I was also given a link to WFAA to read a story about how Rats are increasing in numbers in many N.Dallas towns. My question is what department in Frisco or whom in what department in Frisco is responsible for monitoring and controlling this type of issue?

Animal Control received your Q&A Board inquiry. Property owners control pests by keeping their properties clean. Many pests are attracted to pet food left outside, grills and other outside cooking areas, decaying vegetation, trash, and similar debris. Many owners schedule routine pest control at their property. For helpful tips, owners may contact Health & Food Safety at (972) 292-5304 or Animal Control at (972) 292.5303.
