When it is all said and done, where will all the traffic lights be located on Eldorado between the Tollway and 423? I know there is one at Teel and the one at Legacy is about to be activated but would there be any others such as at Grayhawk and Eldorado? Just wondering.

Traffic signals are installed on Eldorado Parkway at FM423 and the Walmart drive. These two signals are synchronized to insure that traffic does not backup from FM423 past the Walmart drive.

The traffic signal at Eldorado and Teel Parkway is extremely congested because only one lane is provided on each approach. We continue to adjust the timing of this signal; however, signal timing cannot create additional capacity to alleviate the congestion we are experiencing at this intersection.

A new traffic signal was put into flash operation at Eldorado Parkway and Legacy Drive today. We typically flash the signal for several days to alert drivers before the signal becomes operational. This signal will become fully operational next Tuesday (9/4/07). We will need to synchronize this signal with the signals at Dallas Parkway.

We are reviewing plans for a new signal at the main Target driveway between Legacy and Dallas Parkway. This signal will also serve the commercial developments on the north side of Eldorado Parkway. However, this signal will not become operational until TxDOT widens Eldorado Parkway.

No other signals are currently planned until Eldorado Parkway is widened. Our office prioritizes the need for new traffic signals once per year and we will continue to monitor Eldorado Parkway along with our other major arterials in the area for future signalization improvements.
