I'm new to the area and completely surpised by the lack of grocery stores to service all the homes East of Preston in Frisco.

While the Tom Thumb & Kroger on Preston are options, they are ALWAYS jam packed.

Are there any plans for additional grocery stores in the NE area within the following boundry...East of Preston, North of 121, South of 380, West of Custer?

Nicole,

Currently no applications have been submitted for additional grocery stores in the area you have outlined. Staff has talked with a number of different developers about additional stores but no one has come forward with an application.

Is the land by Chase Bank at Preston and El Dorado available to a national grocer only?

Jan,

A portion of the property on the southwest corner of that intersection is owned by Albertsons. They have, at least for now, have chosen not to build at this location. They are still the property owners and can sell to a local, regional, or national grocer as they choose. The City's Zoning Ordinance does not limit the site to only a national grocer. Under the Zoning Ordinance any grocer would be able to build on the site with approved plans.
