Does the city plan to install the back-lit street signs on Hillcrest, Coit, Ohio and that area? Also, are street lights planned on some of these areas? Thank you.

The illuminated street name signs will be added to these signals. We are working through some sign bracket fabrication issues for a few of poles located at these intersections. Once that issue is resolved, the vendor will finish fabricating the signs and ship them to us for installation.

I will have Hulon Webb from our office respond to your questions regarding street lights.

Thanks for the post. The City currently has plans to install street lights along all its major and minor thoroughfares as funds become available.

At this time Hillcrest from Main (FM3537) to SH
121 is under design and anticipated to start construction later this year. As for Coit Road from Main (FM3537) to SH 121, the installation of the street lights is anticipated sometime in the next two months. On Ohio from just north of Prestmont to Wade Boulevard, the street lights have been installed and are operational. The section of Ohio north of Wade and south of Prestmont will have to wait until funds becaome available.

Please feel free to contact me at (972) 335-5585 ext. 127 if you have any further questions.

Thanks, Hulon
