Are there plans to add street lighting to Main Street? There aren't any currently west of Dallas Parkway. It's strange that Teel and Legacy (north of Main) received street lights prior to Main.

Neighbor, thanks for your post. At the time Main Street (FM 720) from the Dallas Parkway to FM 423 was constructed it was a state road. Typically, the state does not pay for street lighting on their roads. Now that this section of Main Street has been removed from the state road system, the City has budgeted the funds necessary to install street lights.

The plans for this installation are currently under design and are expected to be complete by October of this year. Construction of the lights could begin as early as January 2006 and will take approximately 3 months to complete.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me at (972) 335-5585 ext. 127.

Thanks, Hulon
