When will all four lanes of TEEL between High Shoals and the Golf Course Bridge be opened? They made the switch Friday afternoon, the 11th. That's 18 days that the northbound lanes of Teel have now been open. I understand that the cones needed to be in place for a few days to get eveyone used to using them and become accustomed to the intersection. But good grief! How long does it take? All four lanes need to be opened please. This morning the southbound wait at the light backed up all the way to the Golf Course.

All of the southbound lanes of Teel near the intersection of Main were opened Tuesday afternoon. Our observations over the past couple of mornings show that the southbound congestion is now gone.
South of Main, all lanes have been opened with the exception of one northbound lane at the traffic signal.
The contractor has two storm sewer connections that need to be made yet along southbound Teel near Old Orchard. Both will require the closure of one southbound lane. They also have some median work to finish up. We have indicated to the contractor that these last few items need to be completed as soon as possible to get the remaining lanes opened.
It is our standard practice to keep only one lane open in each direction for at least two weeks after opening up a new arterial that previously had two-lane two-way traffic. This gives motorists a chance to adjust to the new traffic patterns and minimize the amount of wrong way traffic flow. If this time is not given, many people would just drive the same way out of their subdivision and not pick up on the visual cues indicating that the roadway is now fully opened.

It looks like the contractor has torn up two locations on Teel for the storm sewer connections - what is the latest update on patching up these locations and completing the median work?

The contractor will be completing the patch work this week as well as concluding the water service connection for the irrigation system in the median with our Parks Department.
