Last night around 2-3am there were loud train whistles that continued for what seemed like hours straight. This disturbed me and kept me up at my home near Main and the Tollway.

Is it really necessary that they blow their whistles as they go through Frisco in the middle of the night? Is there anything that can be done to minimize the frequency or duration of their whistles?

Thanks for any info.

Unfortunately federal law governs trains and the requirements for horns. When and how long the train horns sound is outside of the city's control or influence.
