From Greg Carther:
I noticed the timing of the light for this has changed a couple of days ago. Traffic in the afternoon rush hour now backs up considerably. The length of the green light for northbound Dallas Pkwy at Main seems to be the same but the simultaneous green for westbound Main at southbound Dallad Pkwy is now much shorter causing vehicles turning left to back up to the northbound Dallas Pkwy. Why did they change this and will they correct this??

Thanks for you question.
On Thursday and Friday evening last week we had one lane of southbound Dallas Parkway closed at Main Street. We made some timing adjustments to compensate for this lane reduction. It meant reducing the time for the other three directions at the intersection. As a result, delays for northbound and westbound did increase significantly.
The southbound lane was reopened Sunday and we were able to resume normal signal operations. Last night there were minor delays for northbound and westbound as we tried some other adjustments based on what we were seeing last week. By 5pm, we changed everything back to the old settings and you should see what would be considered normal operations this evening.
