Julianne,

The contractor has until September 16 to complete the work, but is currently ahead of schedule and should finish the signal by the end of the August. The major item yet to be completed is the installation of a power source by the utility company.

WIll there be a light installed at Rolator and HIllcrest soon? I've noticed traffic at this intersection is becoming heavier. Thanks.

Jeff,

We are currently designing a signal for this intersection. I expect that it will be out for bids in October or November. Given that time frame, the signal should be operational in spring 2006.

Thanks

Will there be street lights added to the arms on top of the new traffic signal poles at Ohio/Lebanon and the other new locations?

Brian,

At this time, the majority of the new intersections are anticipated to have street lights on the new traffic signal poles. The presence of overhead power lines may necessitate the removal of these arms to maintain a minimum distance to the power lines as required by safety guidelines.

Brian,

The plans do call for three luminaires at this intersection. They are currently being powder coated and will be installed when they come in.

Luminaires will also be installed at the other nearby signals that are under construction (Hillcrest/College, Coit/Lebanon). They will also be added to the Coit and College signal when they come in.

Thanks
