I've been told that a picture of the master plan for the Lakes on Legacy City Park located on Legacy Rd is available on the City website . Can you please give me the link to the master plan? I have looked throughout the Parks dept. section of the site. Also, when is this park supposed to get underway?

Dear Michelle,

Thank you for your note regarding a possible park site within the Lakes on Legacy development or along Legacy Road.

Just for future reference, the City of Frisco does not have a public park site that is located within the Lakes on Legacy or Heritage Lakes subdivisions. The ponds, open spaces and improvements that are found in these areas were constructed and administered by the homeowners association.

The park site that you might be referring to may be the Heritage Green neighborhood park that is located along and to the south of Legacy Parkway, just north of Lebanon Road. This 26 acre park site will serve the immediate areas north and south of the Heritage Green development and has just had its master plan completed.

Based on projected funding availability, development of this neighborhood park site is scheduled to take place in 2005, with likely completion in 2006 if funding is available for the project.

The Parks and Recreation Board discusses potential projects for its 7 year Capital Development program typically in the spring of each year prior to the end of the City's fiscal year.

We are currently working on getting the master plan for the Heritage Green neighborhood park placed on our web site and hope to have this accomplished within the next several weeks.

Should you have a desire to see a paper copy of this plan, please let me know and our staff will be happy to work with you.
