I am in the process of building another house in Frisco and I am waiting on the builder to pour the foundation and sidewalk(Tomorrow 8/4/03). Currently the frame for the sidewalk is laid out wrong because it travels directly from my front door located on the far left side of my house to the crosswalk. According to plans and the other similar homes in the neighborhood it should cross the crosswalk at the center of the lot thus curving across my front yard. I am worried that the builder will go ahead and pour the foundation and sidewalk even though they are aware of the issue. So my real question is: Is there a code requirement for the placement of the sidewalk coming from the front door to the crosswalk in Northridge? Hopefully it is required to center on the lot!

The Code does not cover location of the lead walk. This is left to the builder's and owner's discretion. The walk cannot be placed over water valves, meter cans , etc.
