I am looking at buying a home in the Grayhawk community. The backyard will back up to Panther Creek. I heard that there will be a retail district planned for the corners of 423 and Panther Creek. Any word yet on what businesses will be residing in the retail district?

Also, who would I need to contact in order to find if there is an easement on the land which my home will sit?

There are two retail districts planned for the intersection of Panther Creek and FM 423. One district is located on the northeast corner of the intersection and the other is on the southeast corner. Both districts are retail districts and would allow those uses that are permitted under retail zoning. A list of uses can be found in the City Zoning Ordinance which is found on the Planning Department page of the City website.

A preliminary site plan has been submitted for the southeast corner district. The site plan indicates a convenience store with gas pumps on the corner, a grocery store, retail spaces and a restaurant pad site. No specific mention is made of which businesses miight locate in the center. This information is not required at this point in the application process. A preliminary site plan has not been submitted for the northeast corner district.

Any easements that would be on the property would be found by reviewing the plat for the subdivision. The subdivision developer will have a copy of the plat as will our department. Please feel free to stop by our offices and review the plat. Thank you.
