Are the water meters read each month or is there an estimation method used? Doesn't look like our meter has been opened for months but yet our water usage (according to our bill) doubled last month...

All water meters are read every month. We are converting all meters from a touch-read program to a radio-read process. This process means that the readings are transmitted to a computer without the need to open the meter can. We also constantly monitor the program to insure that the transmitted readings match the actual readings on the meter register.

Same findings here... my water usage for last month tripled, with no change in my water using behaviour. When all of last year through the previous month it's been relatively stable. Only thing I did differently was run the dishwasher three times throughout the course of the month.

Also the sprinklers were turned on, but even last year my water usage was not this hgh when the sprinklers we on.

Any explanations? Could the readings be off?
