The corner of Preston Trace and Windy Ridge has apparently become a DUMPING GROUND for old furniture. For the past week things have been adding up. There is now two pieces of furniture and several other items. Can someone please get this picked up. It has really made the neighborhood look very bad. You help would be greatly appreciated.

A Code Enforcement Officer will visit the site today. The Officer will take appropiate action. If you have other concerns or questions, please call Code Enforcement at 972-335 5580 ext. 188. Thanks

Thank you for concern. The city's Code Enforcement personnel had already advised the Environmental Services Department of the problem. A crew was dispatched and the objects picked up at 9 a.m, 12 March.

I believe the materials may have been placed there by the resident. We are contacting them to let them know about out free bulk waste pick up which covers unwanted furniture and appliances. Cardboard boxes are not part of this free service, they can be broken down and brought to our Recycling Center on 2nd Street. Hours of operation Monday - Saturday 8 a.m -4 p.m. Closed Sunday.

Residents requesting bulk item pick up should call IESI 972-377-3570 one week in advance to schedule a pick up. Please note, Refrigerators, freezers must be marked fre-on free by a certified technician.

Thank you again for reporting this matter.
