Over the past month, our electricity has gone off two times. We have Co-Serve electric service. The outage affected a multi-block radius (near Ruth Christie Elementary School) and we were all without service for about an hour both times. Does anyone know what happened? The first outage occurred a few days before Christmas around 5pm. The second outage occurred this past Friday night January 3rd around 7pm. Just wondering if anyone knows what happened and why it happened twice in such a short period of time. We've lived in Frisco for 3 years and have never had an outage. Thank you.

According to CoServ, both incidents were caused by lightning. The first strike caused damage to a lightning arrestor but did not fully incapacitate the device. On January 3, the arrestor failed after another hit and was replaced by CoServ.
