Are there any details on the City Park that is being built next to the BNSF Railroad Line right off of Legacy Drive across from the new Cheyenne Crossing development. I have seen marketing material with it on it and would like to see development plans for the park.

Dear Anonymous,

Thank you for your question regarding the Heritage Green park site, which is located along and south of Legacy across from the Cheyenne Village development.

This 26 acre park site was acquired during the development process of the Heritage Green subdivision.

At this point in time, there is no funding available for the development of this park site. The Parks and Recreation Board considers potential projects each year in which the Park Development Fund can provide for the acquisition and/or development of neighborhood parks and hike and bike trail projects.

The Board meets on this Thursday to discuss possible projects for the upcoming fiscal year. You are welcome to attend and provide input to the Board for this or other projects.

The Board meeting begins at 6:30 pm and the meeting will take place in the City Council chambers at the Frisco Municipal Complex at 8750 McKinney Road.

Should you have any additional questions regarding this, please feel to contact me at any time.

Sincerely,

Rick Wieland
