After two town hall meetings where the Post Office has been discussed I have notices:
1) Mail Carriers no longer wear their name tags
(as put into effect after the first meeting)
2) Personal vehicles no longer have signs stating
they are Mail Carriers
(as put into effect after the first meeting)
3) A local slot has not been made for local Frisco
mail. (as promised at the first meeting)

We will continue to work with the US Postal Service to increase the level of service to the community.

Thanks for bringing these issues to our attention-

A response from the Postmaster follows:

1. All employees are required to wear picture I.D. badges, or temporary badges for new employees who do not yet have the picture I.D. This is a security regulation for all employees, not just Frisco delivery personnel. If any employee is seen without a badge while on duty, I would appreciate the citizens letting me know about it.

2. We do still have the magnetic signs for vehicles. Some of the original signs have been lost and/or damaged, and we have added several routes in the past year. I will order additional signs to ensure that all routes have them.

3. As we discussed last June, processing local mail in Frisco is not feasible. All mail processing for the 750 area is completed at our North Texas Mail Processing Center; individual post offices do not have the equipment to accomplish that operation.

Anyone with questions or concerns is invited to call our local office at (972)335-7453.

At what point will it be feasible to build a 2nd Post Office or to extend the hours of the current one. You can go in there at just about any time of day and expect to stand in line for quite a long time.
