Has the proper paper work been done so that the residence of Frisco can benefit from the Class #1 ISO rating the Fire Department received? My insurance agent told me that unless this paper work is filed we wouldn’t be able to get a discount on our homeowners policies.

Mr. Macha,
The ISO 1 Rating took effect March 1, 2001. Prior to that date the information was available to all insurance companies and was well publicized by the Texas Department of Insurance through the State Fire Marshal's Office. Most insurance companies review the rating prior to setting rates. To obtain a copy of the Public Protection Classification rating you can go to our web site at and click on Class One ISO Rating under Hot Topics. Please contact me if you need additonal information.
