Has there been any consideration for lengthening the Warren south-bound turn lane onto Preston? Or better yet, a complete removal of the median to create a double turn lane?
The traffic would flow much better in the morning, without cars going straight blocking the flow of those turning south.
It seems an easy fix to trim the median to nearly double the length of the existing turn lane, if there is not enough room for two.

When we update our traffic counts along Preston, we will take a look at this. There is room available for the expansion, however, we do not have funding to construct improvements for this particular location at this time.

The closing of Ohio has changed traffic patterns in the area. I think once the Ohio overpass over SH 121 is completed in the fall 2007, volumes will shift again and the left-turn volume on Warren will decrease.
