In the past, a portion of the north end of Frisco Commons park running from Cori Lane to Kent Ave. was being mowed on a regular basis as well as some paths leading to the permanent sidewalks. Are these areas going to be mowed this year? The grass and other vegetation is getting to be about knee height in places. Or better yet, a concrete sidewalk from Cori Lane and Kent to the permanent sidewalks? Then the rest wouldn't need to be mowed near as often.

Thanks for your inquiry. The only area we are currently mowing on the north end of the park is a pathway from Kent, where the opening in the cable fence is located, to the concrete trail. We have intentionally not mowed any additional areas due to numerous requests to mow as little as possible on the north end until the wildflowers are through blooming.

Unfortunately, because of the drought, the wildflowers have been less spectacular than in years past. When the majority of the blooms have receded, we will mow a perimeter path, as well as some additional connecting paths throughout the area. There are currently no plans or funding in place to add concrete trails in the north area.

Please feel free to contact me directly if you have additional park related concerns or questions.
