Is there a burn ban effective in the city limits of Frisco? I'm on the Collin County side. I would like to launch a model rocket with my daughter and don't want to run afoul of the burn ban.

Thanks,

Martin...

While no specific “Burn Ban” has been placed in effect in Frisco during the drought conditions we are currently experiencing, outdoor burning is always prohibited in Frisco. Model rockets are not a part of this restriction and, as such, remain legal. We would encourage you to take precautions relative to the extremely dry conditions. We recommend model rockets not be used in areas near structures or grass and vegetation.

Your interest in safety is greatly appreciated. If I can be of further assistance please feel free to contact me at any time.

Thank you,
