We love the spray park! But are sad that it has been under maintenance for a lot of the summer. When is it scheduled to shut down for the year? Could it be open longer to make up for being out of order so much? We're losing the FAC outdoor pool in a week, so it would be nice to still have the splash park for a couple more months (if it gets fixed).

I apologize that it is not currently operational. Itís truly been one of the most frustrating projects of my career. That said, we will try to operate the park as long as it gets use and the temperature permits.

Are there any plans to expand parking at the park?

Thank you.

Mr. Lanza,

Thanks for your note regarding any plans that we might have expand possible parking at the park.

While we have not made any definite plans for additional parking at Frisco Commons for the Spray Park, we continue to monitor the activity there not only for the Spray Park, but also other elements there that are popular with park patrons.

We will get with the Parks and Recreation Board to discuss this and other potential improvements to Frisco Commons and other park sites over the next several months.

I hope that this helps to address your question. You are also more than welcome to contact our office regarding the status of this in the future and we can give you the latest update.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks again for your question,

Rick Wieland
Director of Parks and Recreation
