What are the current plans for a temporary (or permanent) path from the intersection of Quail Hollow and Lebanon to the west trail-head within Stewart Creek Park?

Currently, the most direct route is not paved, is blocked by fencing, and cannot be traversed with a bike, scooter, or small children on foot.

Thanks for your note. In regard to your question, we have a project that was just bid and should start construction in the next week or so that will construct the trail along Lebanon Road from Teel Parkway east to where it stops today east of 4th Army Memorial Drive.

As far as getting to the Trail in Stewart Creek, it gets difficult due to two factors. The first being, that the City does not own all the property North of Lebanon Road so a direct connection from the trail in Stewart Creek west will not be possible.

Constructing a permanent trail to connect it to Lebanon Road is not a good short term option as the future alignment of 4th Army Memorial Drive will shift west.

We have begun looking at connecting the two with a temporary trail but due to the barrow ditches and the narrow ROW along 4th Army Memorial Drive that appears to have challenges as well. We will continue to look for a connection.

If you have any additional questions regarding this, please don't hesitate to let me know.

When is 4th Army moving? Is it going to move to match up with the existing turn break in the median on Lebanon?

4th Army will be realigned in the future. At this time, the City has not identified funding sources for the project so a date has not been set. The future road alignment has been developed and the road will align with the median opening constructed with Lebanon Road (just east of the bridge).
