Hello. I live on Magnolia Road just a few blocks north of Main Street. In 2004, the city installed new curbs and sidewalks and lovely lamp posts on every street in my neighborhood except Magnolia and Camellia. My neighbor told me it was left out of the original bond package approved by the city. Why did this happen and are there plans to install the curbs and sidewalks on our street at some point in the future?

Our street still feels left out after all these years...

Mr. Fowler,

The streets that were rebuilt in your neighborhood utilized bond money for the reconstruction. This bond money was allocated for the Old Downtown area and the streets selected were prioritized by the Citizens Bond Committee.

It is expected that more Old Downtown streets will be included in the next bond program, and once again, the selection of the streets would be pioritized by the Bond Committee; however, we do not know at this time when the next bond program will occur.
