Did it get cancelled? It's looked the same for months with no sign up.

Matthew,

Only the developer or Office Depot will know what has happened in this specific situation. The project may be delayed or they may have chosen not to move forward with the store at this time due to economic reasons.

How do we figure out who the developer is?

Matthew,

If you go to the City's website and select MapIt you can identify the tract that the building sits on. Then choose the identify icon and click on the tract it will pull up information from the Denton County Central Appraisal District. Follow the link to their website and it will list out the owner of the property and their address.

In this instance the property owner is Inland Western with an address of 2901 Butterfield Road, Oak Brook, IL 60523. They may also have a local agent and there is probably some signage on the site that provides a local contact phone number.

Thought that OD was the original occupant, but when they pulled out Staples was going to take their spot?

MJR,

A building permit was taken out to do a finish out on that shell but the project was never completed. As the City is not party to lease agreements we do not know why Office Depot or Staples made the decision not to locate at this site.
