There was a long stretch of new sidewalk on the south side of Lebanon Road, extending east from the new Lebanon Ridge Apartment complex that has suddenly been removed. Is this going to be reinstalled? Why was it ripped out? The space between the apartment complex and the new bridge on the south side of Lebanon will never be developed, as this is City property. Is the sidewalk going to be extended to the new bridge? This is a safety issue as the route is constantly used by children, walkers, runners, and bikers.

The sidewalk you are referring to was removed due to its proximity to the edge of the slope. City staff felt that this was a potential safety problem. The sidewalk will be reinstalled slightly further away from the slope without getting too close to the roadway. The City Parks Department is planning on connecting the slope to the new bridge.
