On the current master plan for BF Phillips park, there is a parking lot to be developed west of the ballfields along Trailside. Although for the life of me I can't figure out how a parking lot can be squeezed in there considering the current development there, I'm sure the planners have it all worked out for Phase II development.

My question is, what will be done with the current concrete fencing and the various trees that were just planted that are blocking the entrances to this planned parking lot? Surely they will be used in other areas of the park rather than just discarded as they were only just established there this summer?

Thanks for your note about B.F. Phillips Community Park.

In regard to your question about what would happen to the concrete fencing and landscaping that would be affected by entrances to this parking area, I would tell you that we would look at utilizing both the fence as well as the tree materials in another area of the park should they need to be removed.

We have had good success in transplanting trees in other parks and I would not hesitate to do so here. The fencing could be used in another area of the park or kept as a replacement for possible damaged pieces that will occur over the next several years.

Should you have any additional questions, please let me know.
