There appears to be a lot clearing and beginning of construction on the lot just north of Fuddrucker's. Any confirmation on what is to be built there?

Also, there has been a sign for "Great Wall Super Buffet" at the old Bahama Breeze/Cruiser's location just across the street for months, but I haven't observed any noticeable progress and there are still for lease signs visible in some of the windows. What is the current status of this project in what is seemingly a great location?

Paul,

The work you see is the cleaning of this site involving the removal of construction materials and soil. At this time there are no plans for construction on this site.

The applicant for the Great Wall Super Buffet has not moved forward on this request for several months. At this time we believe that they have chosen to review other sites.

This site now has a building erected on it, so I don't think it was just cleaning - any word on what this will be, just north of Fuddrucker's and east of Sheridan's?

Paul,

The building under construction is a shell building with leasable tenant spaces.

Has anything happened with the old Bahama Breeze building?

cg,

The only permit that has been approved for this property is one for the restaurant "Great Wall Supper Buffet." The permit is still valid at this time.

The main point of my message was that it looked like an abandoned crackhouse since demo was only HALF done. That was the part that got edited out. I don't care who is going to move in. I wanted to know what is being done about the eyesore.

Who is responsible for maintaining the grass in front of this location and the side entrance? It presents a negative image for the city.

The grass has been mowed. The permit for remodel has been submitted. We should see activity and improvement in the very near future.
