I see that Eldorado is being expanded to a six lane but seems that the stretch between hillcrest and independence seems to be a 4 lane stretch.
I have lived on Eldorado and Coit since 2004 and this stretch seems to always get the step-child treatment from City of Frisco.
Any reason for this not being a 6 lane road like the other parts of Eldorado?

The Eldorado Parkway construction project currently underway will widen Eldorado to 6 lanes between Preston and Custer.

Yes but what is the time frame for 6 lane completion on this stretch of the road. I see two lanes going west and two lanes going east with a left only turn into the panther creek estates neighborhood. Why build a left turn lane if you are building 3 lanes each way?

The time frame for completion is November this year

3 lanes in each direction will be the final configuration. When there is a main entrance into neighborhood, a median opening/left turn lane is built. This is a better traffic flow into the neighborhood with the additional left turn lane

2 weeks ago the contractors dumped several 4 ft tall mounds of dirt every 50 feet or so in the median on Eldorado between Preston and Coit. With the current road configuration, if you are exiting Whitesboro Dr or Grandbury Dr onto Eldorado and you are in a car which sits lower to the ground than a truck it is almost impossible to see West bound car traffic cause they are hidden by the mounds of dirt. You can see the tops of trucks over the mounds but not cars. There have been several close calls this past week.
Can the city/contractor lower 4 or 5 of those mounds just to the east of where each of these roads connects to Eldorado? It would make turning onto Eldorado safer.
