Homeowners here on Shaddock Creek Lane (backing up to creek) are anxious for this project to begin. We know it keeps getting pushed back. Could you please tell us why and also what the new projected date is?

Sofia,

Thanks for your note. To your question, at this point the City does not own the property. We have been trying to work out an agreement where the developer helps to fund a portion of and build the improvements.

Due to the project costing millions of dollars and the developer contributing hundreds of thousands of dollars to the project, it has taken quite a bit of time to get the deal points of the agreement agreed to as well as have the attorneys for both sides review the agreement.

We do not have the agreement finalized as of yet. Due to all the delays, I am hesitant in giving a date of when the project will begin. I have been told that it will be under construction by the first quarter of next year.

If you have any further questions, please let me know.
