Thank you for your interest. Our consultant has finished its research and has made some recommendations. At this time, we are the 'legal' phase of the process, so to speak. We do not have a date as to when this phase will be complete; however, once this is done, we anticipate we will be unveiling the brand. We hope this will happen in the very near future. Like you, we are anxious! Again, thank you for your interest and for taking the time to inquire.

Why wasn't a brand change done before the current logo was placed on all the lighted street signs. Unfortunately, that is taxpayer expense.

The City has tried to hold on the use of the F where feasible pending the logo effort. The project to place the lighted street names at the arterials began prior to the branding effort. The feeling was that we did not want to hold up the lighting project pending the logo/branding effort. While there is certainly a cost, the panels are made to be economically replaced. If the final decision on the logo is to change from the F, the panels will need to be replaced. A part of any consideration in changing a logo/brand is that there will be conversion costs.

Is the Dallas Morning News article that stated Frisco spent 200,000 dollars for this true?

On May 1, the City Council approved the staff request to adopt the historical, Burlington Northern railroad brand, as recommended by the consultant, North Star Destination Strategies. Staff is now working on the implementation of the brand. It is the same brand that is on the old, historical water tower in downtown Frisco. Along with the brand, we have adopted the positioning statement, Progrees in Motion.
