Is it true there will be a Goodwill store going in on the North West side of Preston and Fisher? What stage is the development in?

Jeffrey,

A preliminary site plan has been approved for this site which shows six buildings that are shown as being for retail purposes. This approved preliminary site plan was approved in April. We have not received any application for a final site plan for either a portion or all of the property under the preliminary plan.

Until such time as an application is made for a building permit City staff wouldn't know who the occupant of a building or a portion of a building would be.

The development is essentially still in the early stages. A final site plan and plat must be prepared along with all associated engineering plans. These would be reviewed by staff and submitted to the Planning & Zoning Commission for their consideration. No application has been made as of today.

Scott,
Thanks for the reply I guess I was wrong on the site location. I was all ready familiar with the 6 building retail site. I must mean the South West side of Preston and Fisher for the Goodwill location. According to the appraisal site goodwill of north Texas owns this land. Has there been any preliminary site plans done for this piece of land?

Thanks,

Jeff Dennis

Jeffrey,

You are correct that the Appraisal District records show that the property is owned by Goodwill. At this time they have not submitted any applications for any type of development on the site. When they do submit an application we do post those on the City's website on the Planning page. You can access those applications that have been submitted over the past year or so. Please feel free to contact me at 972.335.5580, ext. 157 if you should have any additional questions.
