I-30 was originally constructed as a tollroad between Fort Worth & Dallas. Each of the cities agreed to remove the toll from I-30 after the debt was paid on this roadway. Since SH 121 is owned by TxDOT, Iím not sure if they would be willing to remove the tolls upon completion, but it is certainly something Frisco has suggested also. The debt service proposed by TxDOT is 40 years. Frisco also wants to retire the debt as quick as possible and also has suggested that the money be only used to pay off the debt rather than finance other projects. We are one of 7 agencies considering this project (Plano, McKinney, Allen, Frisco, Collin County, TxDOT, NTTA). Not all of the agencies currently agree to how or if to pay for the construction of the roadway, but we continue to work together to try and gain consensus. If you have any further questions, please let me know.
