Our current plans are to install 9 new Outdoor Warning Sirens throughout the City this summer. Three of the new sirens will be installed at the following locations: Mary Boals Elementary, 2035 Jaguar near the Grayhawk, Northridge, and Christie Ranch subdivisions; Legacy and El Dorado near the Griffin Park subdivision; Main and Legacy in the median on Legacy, north of Main St. We feel that these locations in addition to the existing siren at Christie Elementary on Old Orchard in the Trails subdivision will afford the best coverage for the current and planned development in the area of Teel and El Dorado. It is also important to note that if you are in your home at the time the sirens are sounding, you may not hear them due to the fact that the sirens are intended to warn people, who are outdoors in harms way, to seek shelter indoors immediately. More information on the City of Frisco's Outdoor Warning Sirens may be found on the City website: http://www.friscotexas.gov/fire/warning_sirens.html
Please feel free to contact me at with any further questions you may have regarding the outdoor warning siren system.
